Mexican Turkey Bowls

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 25 minutes

Serves: 4-5


  • 1 lb lean ground turkey (or beef), browned
  • Taco seasoning (pre-made or make your own)
  • 1 1/2 cup dry rice, cooked
  • 2 cans black beans, rinsed and drained


  • While cooking rice, brown the lean ground turkey
  • Add the taco seasoning to cooked lean ground turkey
  • Add black beans to meat and cook for a few minutes until beans are warm
  • Separate rice evenly and add the beans and meat
  • Optional: serve with salsa, sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt), low fat cheese, lettuce, avacado, etc

Eat like a champion!
